Initial Telephone Consultation

I offer a free initial 20-minute phone call, so that we can discuss how we might work together. This provides an opportunity for us both to get a feel as to whether we would like to progress to the initial assessment session.

Initial Assessment Session

This 50 minute session is charged at a reduced rate of £40.  I use an assessment form to ask questions to ascertain the reasons you have decided to seek therapy, what your expectations are, and to explore any fears or concerns you may have.

The duration of therapy is dependent on your needs and issues. From the outset, we can discuss how many sessions you think you would like but this can be reviewed regularly to ensure it is still relevant. I offer short-term (6 to 12 sessions), long term and open-ended counselling and your timeslot would be kept available for you. You are free to decide to end counselling at any point but it is always best for us to plan the ending together with one or two weeks notice.

Ongoing Therapy Sessions

If we decide we would like to work together, we will agree upon a day and time that suits us both, which will remain your dedicated timeslot.

Fees

• Free initial telephone consultation (20 Minutes)

• Initial assessment session charged at £40 (50 minutes)

• Ongoing therapy sessions charged at £60  (50 minutes)

Payment Terms

Payment will be by bank transfer 24 hours in advance of the session and details will be provided. If there is an outstanding fee payment, no further sessions can be booked until the outstanding balance has been settled.

Cancellation Policy

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your appointment, otherwise the cost of the session is chargeable. At times, it may be possible to reschedule your session within the same week and in that case, I will not charge. I will aim to give as much notice as possible if I need to cancel a session or I am going on holiday.
